Margo Lynn Rayment was born July 15, 1965 and passed away suddenly on January 11, 2013. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Kenneth Brian Rayment, and her oldest brother Brian Donald Rayment. She leaves to mourn; her mother Audrey Rayment; sister Catherine (David) Bray; and children Marie (Kris), Sara (Chad), and Ryan; brother Brant (Lois) Rayment and children Natalie (Mike), Megan, Marcus; brother Ken (Elizabeth) Rayment and children Clayton and Chase; and first cousin/best friend and support, Christine (Dr. Kenneth) Cha and children Justine and Vanessa; Auntie Fay (Al); and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Margo, as a child, was a happy freckly faced kid who loved adventures, out at the cabin such as waterskiing, horseback riding, snow skiing, and exploring the woods. She loved animals and rescued many. Margo's love for horses led her to compete provincially and to win the Junior Championship at Spruce Meadows one year. Margo achieved a Phys. Ed. degree, and continued on to receive a Law degree. After being admitted to the Bar, she taught English in both Korea and Japan for a few years. Her ultimate goal since childhood was to work for the United Nations. When she finally achieved this goal, she was employed as a resettlement officer in many places such as Malaysia, Sudan, Jordan, and Uganda. Margo suffered from post traumatic stress disorder over the last three years. Her humanitarian efforts, and self-sacrificing personality will not be forgotten. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Andrew's Anglican Church (4713 50 Street, Camrose) with Rev. Jacques Vaillancourt officiating. Inurnment took place in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the United Nations Foundation (Box 96619, Washington, D.C. 20090-6619) or the S.P.C.A.
