Please share a memory of Anita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anita Kathleen (Jones) Feth passed away on November 18th, 2014 at the age of 76. Anita was born November 1st, 1938 in Winnipeg. She was the second child of Trevor and Mary Jones. She grew up a loving sister to Shirley (Tom), Lorraine (Jan), Ted (Donna), Penny (John), and Stephen (Lois). Anita was a beloved wife to Joe for 46 years. She was a caring and devoted mother to Warren (Cheryl), Janine (Paul), Theresa (Lloyd), Paul (Marry) and an extremely proud "Nana" to Cole, Lauren, Blake, Ian, Alexandra and Samuel. Anita will be missed for her thoughtfulness, sensitivity, sense of gratitude, presence and faithful friendship. She was a regular at her grandchildren's hockey, soccer, music, dance and skating events. Anita was the valedictorian of her graduating class from the Misericordia Hospital Nursing program and spent her nursing career in Camrose before she opened a private practice as a therapist. She touched many lives as a competent therapist and a caring woman not just for this generation but for generations to come. Anita was passionate about her faith and instilling this faith in those around her. She was actively involved at St. Francis Xavier Parish. She participated on the Art and Environment committee, sat on the Board for the new church, sang in the choir, and initiated the support for the Carmelite Monastery. Anita loved nature, enjoyed the beauty and fruits of her garden. She also spent many hours at her sewing machine creating outfits and costumes for family and friends. She showed her tremendous kindness by freely giving of her time and talents to those she met. Her heart's treasure was her love for family and friends. Her gifts live on in the lives of all those that have been touched by her. Anita's feisty spirit met the final challenge of living and dying with ALS gracefully and courageously. Ultimately she said: "I feel calm and accepting." A fitting legacy. A Prayer Vigil was held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 7:00pm., from The Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00am., from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Sylvain Casavant as Celebrant. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The Carmelite Sisters, or The ALS Society of Alberta (11808 St Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB T5L 4G4).
