Obituary of Beverly Davey

Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bev; wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Passed away peacefully in Camrose on August 8, 2014, at the young age of 55 with her family at her side. Bev started working at the age of 14 for Scotty's Cleaners in Edmonton. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, and worked hard at any job she had. After moving to Bashaw, Alberta to be with her future husband Bruce, she worked at the cheese plant and the lucky dollar store. Bev was the backbone and office manager that kept the books straight for the Camrose Mobile Home Park for many years. She also worked at the Camrose Dollarama. In 1987, Bev gave birth to her first son Michael. Bruce, Bev and family were transferred to Lacombe with Bruce's Pioneer Grain buying job, as well as various locations throughout Alberta. The last place being Gadsby, where their daughter Candace was born in 1990 in the nearby town of Stettler. Bev got her driver's license at the age of 28 in Bashaw, then with the many vehicles Bruce had, Bev loved the old 1972 blue Toyota Corolla the best. Bev loved her family, it was her reason for getting up each day. A heart of gold, kind gentle soul who loved camping, music, reading, movies, and playing cards with her family. Bev was a real jokester, had a great sense of humor and was witty. There wasn't an actor or movie title that she didn't know. Bev is survived by her loving husband Bruce; son Michael (Ashley); daughter Candace (Mike); grandbaby Braelynn; step-daughter Theresa (Darlene); as well as her sisters Trudy (JR), Debbie (Dave); and her brother Dwight. A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 from Camrose United Church with Rev. Liz Carter-Morgan officiating. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the ENT Surgery Ward at the University of Alberta Hospital, or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
