Obituary of Henry Trottier

Please share a memory of Henry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Henry Joseph Albert Trottier was born June 14, 1943 in Husdon Bay, Saskatchewan. He passed away August 6, 2014 at the age of 71 years in Edmonton, Alberta at the Cross Cancer Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Over the years, Henry worked at many jobs. But there was no denying Henry's mechanical ability, so at the age of 36 he decided to officially obtain his ticket as a heavy duty mechanic. He worked for several mechanic shops until 1997 when he decided to open his own "Henry's Mechanical" in Daysland, Alberta where he worked until he retired. Henry enjoyed spending time with family, making people laugh, fixing things, camping, watching sports, building puzzles, playing cards, and visiting with friends. He was a very kind, gentle and patient soul who was loved by many. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lois of 31 years; mother Elodie; children Allan (Shelley), Michelle (Doug); Lois's children Kevin (Cindy), Kim (Jeff), Lisa (Gary) and Ernie; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandson; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Henry was predeceased by his father George; brothers Laurent, Arthur, and Gerald; sister Alice; and great-grandson Emmett. His big smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him! A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 from Bawlf Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Camrose Cemetery at a later date. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute, Bawlf Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232, or to the Daysland Hospital Foundation.
