Obituary of Lloyd Kimmel

Lloyd Vernon Kimmel of Camrose passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the age of 80 years. He was born April 22, 1934 to Fred and Lydia Kimmel at Sunnyslope, Alberta where he grew up attending school and worked at many different jobs and places. He then met and married Wally (nee Goetz) on November 12, 1955. To this union were born five children; three girls and two boys. In 1959, Lloyd became a licensed motor mechanic and worked at it for several years. He moved to Camrose in 1979 and owned his own small engine repair business and retired in 1999. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Lydia Kimmel; three brothers Ray, Gordon, and Bob; and two sisters Bea and Dorothy. Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his wife Wally; his children Ken, Emilie, Don, Kathy (Brian), Cindy (Albert); seven grandchildren: Danny, Jennifer, Mathew, Cameron, Kellene, Alex, and Tanner; and brother Dennis (Rosemarie). A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 from Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Greg Kjos officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Grace Lutheran Church.
