Obituary of Garry Cribb

Please share a memory of Garry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Garry was born in Port Aux Basques, NFLD to Clyde and Lillian Cribb on March 2, 1960. During his young years in Newfoundland Garry could be found making friends with anyone and talking their ear off. His mother says that often people would just bring him home with them just so they could visit because they loved his company so much. This was a trait that never left him. Garry met his soul mate and love of his life, Bev in Stephenville, NFLD in 1978 and married her on November 8th, 1980. Their love brought them two beautiful girls and his pride and joy, Crystal and Cassandra. Garry loved Newfoundland so much but wanted to provide a better life for "his girls" so in 1985 he and his family moved to Camrose, Alberta. Except for a short time in Sedgewick, AB, Camrose is where he made his home for the rest of his life. Garry's love for his family was apparent to everyone who knew him. He would spend most of his time bragging about the people that he loved most. "His Girls" and his beautiful Grandkids. He loved nothing more than to hear "PAPA" from all of his grandkids as they came running to greet him every time he came home from work. His week at home was always spent with as much time possible with them and his wife and kids. Quinn, Phoenix, Haleigh, Grace and Kai loved Papa's tickles, whiskers and snuggles. He could calm them to sleep or drive us all crazy by getting them so riled up. Garry worked hard all of his life to provide for his family. He made many friends over the years and cherished every one of them. Over the last few years he got to work at two jobs he loved. He got his class 1 licence and drove truck for Phil Hall for a few years, a job he loved so much. And the last two years he worked for NorAlta Lodge in Ft. McMurray, AB. Every time he came home from his three week stretch of work he would have a handful of stories to share with anyone who would listen of his second "family" at work. He loved it there, and found his place there. His hard work paid off and he finally got to purchase his first ever brand new truck. He was so, so proud to finally have this; even if it was only for the last few weeks of his life. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Beverley of Camrose, daughters Crystal (Dan) Nahajowich and Cassandra (Todd) McFadyen both of Camrose, his 5 grandchildren Quinn, Haleigh and Grace Nahajowich and Phoenix and Kai McFadyen, his parents Clyde and Lillian Cribb of Camrose, siblings Ronnie (Rose) Cribb of Nova Scotia and Michelle (Randy Bibby) Cribb of Camrose along with numerous nieces and nephews and adopted daughters, all of his daughters friends whom he loved very, very much. Also all of his friends old and new who meant the world to him. He will also be missed by his Mother and Father-in-law Minnette and Hunter Gosse and his many sisters and brothers-in-law. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel (4817 51 Ave, Camrose) with Larry Wilton officiating. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
