Terry Craig Ofrim of Edmonton, formerly of Camrose passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the age of 64 years. Terry Craig Ofrim was born in Camrose, Alberta on September 12, 1949 to Robert Morris and Wilma Eleanor Ofrim (Nergarrd). He was raised in Camrose with his younger brother Rick. He attended Camrose Composite Highschool and then went on to study Business Administration at NAIT. His working career began with Poole Construction in Edmonton, which led to various opportunities in Yellowknife, Toronto and Regina. In 1981 Terry and his young family, son Dean, daughter Lisa and their mother Sharon returned to his hometown Camrose to assume the role of Smith Clinic Administrator. Terry's career also included working for Sun-Life Financial , Bank of Montreal and later as a Land Agent for Pioneer Land Services and most recently for Atco Electric. In 2010 Terry met and fell in love with Glenis Sheeler. They resided together in Edmonton until Terry's passing. Terry was a people person - a social butterfly. He thrived on personal connections and took a genuine interest in the lives of everyone he knew. With his love and passion for sports, especially golf and hockey he generously volunteered his time and energies to many, many committees and organizations. One of his greatest pleasures was that of being "Grampie" to Braden, Nolan and Megan. He was involved in each of their lives and relished their time together, never missing an opportunity to brag about them to everyone. Time spent with friends and family was a huge part of Terry's life and precious memories and thoughts of him will remain with everyone whose lives he touched. He will be lovingly remembered for his generous nature and warm smile. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Messiah Lutheran Church (4810 50 Street, Camrose) with Bev Swanson officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
