Obituary of Doris Lindberg

Doris Lindberg, beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away suddenly on May 31, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Doris was born on July 14, 1936 in the Spilstead area. She married 'the love of her life' Edwin Lindberg on November 20, 1954. They homesteaded in the Breton area where they raised their four children. In later years, Doris took over the care of her grand-daughter Stephanie who became like a daughter to her. Doris loved to grow a big garden, to bake the best pies and to spend time with her family. She is survived by her three children: Winnie (Jerry) Ovelson, Marlon (Valerie), and Janet; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn four sisters and one brother, Ellen (Lawrence), Olga, Maxine (Wilfred), Grace (Reg) and Terry (Janice); two sisters-in-law Carmen and Audrey; and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by Edwin her loving husband of 39 years; her youngest son Steven at the age of 30; her sister Jean; and her brothers Oscar, Harvey and Benny. A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Mr. Bill Atema officiating. Interment will take place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
