Alan Ralph Kenneth Fossen of Camrose, formerly of Killam passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the age of 79 years.
Alan was born in Killam, Alberta on July 19, 1934. Alan is survived by his loving wife Donna; his sons Tom of Sedgewick, Don (Joan) of Bawlf, Dan (Karmen) of Rocky Mountain House, Rick (Rebecca) of Edmonton; nine grandchildren Ryan (Bekki), Zen (Tanya), Layne (Deanna), Alana, Daniel, Katlin (Sarah), Landon, Cody, and Karson. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren Kalan, Reid, and Jocelynn.
Alan was predeceased by his sisters Shirley and Ilene; his brothers Leonard (Fuzzy), Mel Fossen and his mother and father Tilda and Hjalmer, and his daughter Colleen.
A funeral service was held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Messiah Lutheran Church (4810 50 Street, Camrose) with Rev. Dave Hesje officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Killam Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to St. Mary's Palliative Care or Killam Cemetery.
