Heather Anne Tansowny

(May 26, 1957 - January 10, 2024)

Heather Anne Tansowny of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the age of 66 years.

With incredible sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Heather Tansowny. She passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her mother and best friend Delores (Dodie) Berger; and children Billy-Joe (Jessica), and Aggie-Dee Felicia (David); husband Richard (Rick) Sjolie; grandchildren Carter, Parker, Riley, Brennen, Hunter, Easton, and Elaina; siblings Darrell (Martha), Randy, Laurel (Robert), Paul, and Ruth; as well as many nieces and nephews who were all so very special to her.

Heather was predeceased by her father William (Bill) Tansowny; stepmother Doris Tansowny; and her niece Desirae Couture.

Heather was well known and loved by so many and she will be sorely missed. She had the most vibrant and loving personality with a passion for helping everyone she could. A fierce defender, Heather could always be counted on as the most solid rock for all who knew her. She loved to laugh and did so with her whole being. She always had a joke to tell and the whole room would be filled with her hearty, unrestrained, and memorable laugh. A beautiful melody that will ring through our hearts for the rest of our days.

A Celebration of Life was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817 - 51 Avenue Camrose officiated by the Rev. MaryAnn Pastuck. 

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Heather's memory may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

We had a wonderful one, who never really grew old.
Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold.
