Ella Johanna Stefura

(April 12, 1930 - January 3, 2024)

Ella Johanna Stefura of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the age of 93 years.

Ella was born in Poland on April 12, 1930 to Henry and Amanda Janetzki.  With six children to feed, times were tough, but they survived.

In August of 1952, Ella set out on the Queen Mary for Canada. She worked her way from Toronto to British Columbia, finally settling in Edmonton, where she worked for the CN Rail.

Ella married Bill Stefura on April 6, 1959, and started farming shortly afterwards. Eventually, they settled in Camrose.

Ella loved life, gardening, and having visitors.

Ella was predeceased by her husband William Stefura; parents Heinrich and Amanda Janetzki; three sisters; and two brothers.
  

A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Camrose Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4820 - 64 St Camrose.
