Obituary of Carter Robert Lawrence Barrie

Carter Robert Lawrence Barrie

(November 11, 2004 - May 12, 2023)

Together we raised an amazing young man.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Carter Robert Lawrence Barrie, beloved son, big brother, and friend. Carter was born on November 11, 2004 in Daysland, attended Bawlf school from 2009 to 2022, and passed away on May 12, 2023 in Bawlf.

Carter was a passionate and determined young man who found joy in all aspects of life. He was an avid fisherman, and spent countless hours fishing and playing on the lake with his family. He also enjoyed quiet morning walks with his dog Mr. T(Vinny). He was also an adrenaline junkie and lived for dirt biking, skiing, hockey, and “The Boys”. When not with the boys, he was coaxing his little sister to join him on all his adventures. Carter convinced her to share in all his passions… even buy a dirt bike because he was convinced that she would love it as much as he did.

Carter was an incredibly kind and generous person and knew who he was. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his infectious smile and laughter. His provoking sense of humor kept everyone on their toes as long as he was the one giving it. He was a loyal friend and was always there to listen and offer advice “as long as he was right”. He kept “the boys” organized. He loved all family adventures, including traveling, camping, hiking, target practice, football, and the list just goes on. When Carter loved he loved with his whole heart.

He was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his Mother Amanda Lee Barrie; his Father Rob Cecil Barrie; his Sister Haydyn Alexa Barrie; Grandma Mary Jean Burt (Grandpa Bill Rusk); Nana Darlene Eberle (Grandpa Bryan Eberle); Brandy (Darrin) Shay-Lynn, Riley Burka; Tom (Emily) Jude, Imogen; and Mikayla Barrie (Jordan). Carter was predeceased by his Papa Randy Lawrence Funk; and his Grandpa Robert (Bob) George Barrie.

Carter was a bright light in the lives of everyone he touched and his memory will live on forever. May he rest in peace.
