Ward Elmer Ramstad of Camrose passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 54 years.
Ward Elmer Ramstad was born in Camrose April 11, 1959 at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose to Elmer and Teresa Ramstad. He passed away peacefully at St. Mary's on Saturday March 1, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
After attending school in Camrose, Ward held several jobs, farming with Adamson's, McNeight's and his good friend Roger Shermack and family. He also was an X-Ray technician from 1990-1996 and then a shipper/receiver at Home Hardware in Wetaskiwin from 1996 until his passing. The most important job that Ward loved was helping his family and friends.
Left to cherish Ward's memory are his daughter Jessie Rae "JR"; his mother Teresa Ramstad; brothers Wade (Debra), Bruce (Brenda), Blaine, and Blake (Kathy); sisters Bernice (Brent) Guhle, and Cheryl (Greg) Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.
Ward was predeceased by his father Elmer Ramstad in 1985.
A Funeral Service was held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 from Calvary Pentecostal Church (4920 48St Camrose) with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Greenview Cemetery at a later date.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S., or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
