Dennis (Denny) was born in Camrose on August 23, 1943 to Jim and Ella Debnam of Round Hill, Alberta. He was the middle of three children, older brother Earl and younger brother Jerry. He was raised in the Round Hill area, and in 1972 Dennis married Doris Lien from the Camrose area. They resided in Bittern Lake and Dennis was working for the County of Camrose as a grader operator where he had remained employed. On December 20, 1977 Dennis and Doris were blessed with twin boys Jason James and Jeffrey Dennis. In the late 1980's he divorced Doris and later moved with the boys to Camrose. Best known as "Uncle Denny" or the "County Grader Man", he always cherished friends and family alike. He loved camping with The Debnam family and friends, going to drag races, Kodiak and minor hockey games, mornings with his friends at Tim Hortons, and movies and Bingo with his friend Marion. Dennis spent a lot of time with family, the weekends were filled with road trips to visit his kids and three grandchildren, always armed with a bag of stuffed animals, cards, gifts and hugs from Papa D. Dennis passed away peacefully in his sleep and is survived by his friend Marion Degagner of Camrose; son Jason (Melanie), granddaughter Mercedes of Fort Saskatchewan; son Jeffrey (Keri), granddaughter Willow and grandson Jack of Marwayne, Alberta; his brother Earl (Dale) Debnam; stepfather Gerald Zimmerman; nephews Charlie (Lesa), Allan (Kim) Debnam and families. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Jerry. A Funeral Service was held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from Calvary Pentecostal with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to KidSport Camrose (Suite 318-6010-48th Ave) or to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.
