Velma McDonald of Red Deer, formerly of Alix, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Charles; children Colin of Chetwynd, B.C., John (Carrie) of Kelowna, B.C., Val (Jim) Bardick of Red Deer, and Lisa Cocks of Lacombe; four brothers Bill Magee, Clifford Magee, Leroy Magee, and Melvin Mcgee; two sisters Viola Terrill and Marlene McGougan; and seven grandchildren. Velma was predeceased by her mother and father; her infant son Ross; and one grandson. A Funeral Service will be held at a later date. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer's Association.
