Surrounded by family, Shelly peacefully and with grace passed away on April 18, 2011 at the age of 45 years.
Left to cherish her memory, her loving mother Margaret of Gwynne, two devoted brothers Clinton and Terry of Gwynne, two loving sisters Debbie (Frank Walther) of Ardrossan and Cheryl (John Ward) of Edmonton, two nephews Christopher (Desiree Sams) and Travis Ward of Edmonton, one great niece, Myrna Ward, numerous family members and friends.
Shelly was predeceased by her father Mike Sych (May 11, 2008). Shelly (aka Sam), operated Sam's Hair Studio in Camrose. Her clients were always very important to her. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Cross Cancer, Glenrose, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU, for the care and support given to Shelly. Respecting Shelly's wishes a private family service was held.
In lieu of floral tributes, donations if desired may be made to S.T.A.R.S. or the Stollery Children's Hospital.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Shelly
