Timothy Oscar Ekelund

Timothy Oscar Ekelund was born on July 29, 1960. He passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021.
He is survived by his mother Ann; siblings Doug (Marie) of Nanaimo, BC, Victoria (Ralph) of South Carolina, Dan (Brandi) of Daysland, Barb (Tom) of Grande Prairie, and Marilyn of Winnipeg, MB. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father Art in 2003; and his brother Gordon in 2019.
Tim lived in Daysland his entire life. He farmed and also worked as a pipeline inspector until his retirement a few years ago. Tim was larger a larger-than-life character who was loved so much and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tim loved his farm, his sports, and his many pastimes, but relationships with friends and family were always his number one priority and biggest source of joy.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer. Inurnment will take place in the Daysland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one’s choice.
