Debby Lynn Koenig

(December 18, 1957 - April 19, 2021)

Debby Lynn Koenig (Croskery) of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Galahad, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at the age of 63 years.

Debby was born in Killam, Alberta December 18, 1957, to William and Ethel Croskery. Debby was raised in Strome, Alberta by her mom and step-father Chester. Debby graduated from Daysland school when she was 18. Debby married the love of her life Edward Koenig on July 31, 1976, together they had two wonderful children who they raised on an acreage just outside of Galahad.  Debby would spend the summers in her garden. In the winter you could find her around the table playing Stock Ticker with her family. Debby loved animals and had an abundance of them. In 2002, Debby and Ed decided to retire to Camrose to be closer to their children.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years Ed Koenig; daughters Tracy Koenig-Atkinson (Laurie Atkinson) of Camrose and Amber Koenig (Richard Fehr) of Camrose; grandchildren Mason, Brittany, and Brooklyn; brother Garry (Rita) Croskery of Edmonton; and lifelong friend Barb (John) Brooks.

Debby was predeceased by her parents William and Ethel Croskery; step-father Chester; brother Ken Croskery; and sisters Mavis Stang and Carol Tate. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

A private family service will be held. Inurnment will take place in the Camrose Cemetery.
