In Loving Memory of

Edward (Eddie) Reinhold Stang

Born September 2, 1931 Passed Away November 26, 2020

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddie Stang. Eddie passed away peacefully in the early hours of November 26, 2020 at the age of 89.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Marjorie (Hauser); children Greg (Kim), Darren (Jody), Kevin (Linda), Corinne (Wilf) Story, Carla Cote (Mike); fifteen grandchildren Corey, Candice (Mark), Kelli (Greg), Chelsea (Brandon), Curtis, Chad, Allison (Marty), Tyson (Megan), Lauren (Monty), Foster (Allison), Taryn (Jevon), Dylan, Tyler, Hayley (Tre), and Madison; thirteen great-grandchildren Logan, Cylus, Mariah, Anistyn, Kinslie, Kash, Wyatt, Samuel, Henley, Iola, Gibson, Adler, Mackenzie; brothers Joe, Willie, Leo (Phyllis), Arnie (Bonnie); sisters Beatrice (Bob) Krottner, Pat (Leo) Stang; brother-in-law Joe (Young); sisters-in-law Elsie and Esther.

Eddie grew up in the small town of Macklin, Saskatchewan. He moved to the Ohaton area and met the love of his life, Marjorie Hauser of Rosalind, where they wed in 1957. They eventually moved to Camrose to start and raise their family. Eddie was a crib-loving, accordion playing, barber extraordinaire. With his gentle soul and wonderfully toothy grin, Eddie always had a positive outlook on life and took tremendously good care of his wife and family. Eddie’s love for music is what brought family together and created lifelong memories. From the chicken dance to the polka, Eddie always kept everyone laughing and smiling. He was the true heart and soul of the ‘Stang Gang’.

Eddie was predeceased by his father Alex and mother Annie; three brothers, Alex, Peter and Larry; two-sisters Mary and Louise; sisters-in-law Nadine, Alvina, Arlien; brother-in-law, Randy, son-in-law Kevin Cote; and infant daughter, Mary.

With the support and unconditional love of Rosealta staff and the home care team, our dad was able to live an enjoyable last few years. We thank St. Mary’s Hospital for providing such comfort and professionalism, knowing he was in such good care.

Celebration of his life will be held when circumstances permit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary.
