Donna Roberta Harding

(July 31, 1942 - March 11, 2020)

Donna Roberta Harding was born on July 31, 1942 to Andrew and Ida Whyte in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. She passed away peacefully on March 11, 2020 at 77 years of age.

Donna was married to Allan Harding on December 9, 1960. They spent most of their life in Lougheed, Alberta. Then after a few years in Camrose they retired to an acreage north of Bawlf on Highway 26.

Donna was known as a wonderful cook and always had a large garden complete with sweet peas, cosmos and evening scented stalk.

Her children and grandchildren looked forward to excess garden produce, canned tomatoes, canned fruit and beet pickles. She was a talented seamstress who made her children’s blue jeans and western shirts embroidered with roses. Each grandchild received a unique crochet baby blanket upon arrival. She loved crafts and many of her quilts, crochet slippers and tablecloths were given away for birthdays or family weddings.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Laurie (Dave) Dunbar of Camrose, James Harding of Camrose, Dwayne Harding of Camrose County, and Lynn Harding of Camrose County; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Marcia Gay (Gary) Matthiessen of Heisler.

Donna was predeceased by her husband Allen, and parents Andrew and Ida Whyte.

Due to Alberta Health Regulations, a private family service was held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Daysland Hospital Foundation.
