Mrs. Anna Mandseth of Camrose passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Anna was predeceased by her husband Sigurd; son Wayne; granddaughter Haley; parents George and Pauline Schmidt; and twelve brothers and sisters Bertha, Mary, Eleanor, Minnie, Betty, George, Rudy, Frances, Philomena, Katherine, Petronela and Theresa. She is survived by her children Linda (Frank) Fletcher, Judy (Frank) Walker, Randy (Kathy Tschida), Jim (Karen Batsch), and Jon (Cindy Mojelski); her brother Willie Schmidt; as well as thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many friends and family. Anna was born and lived her childhood in North Star, Alberta, moving to Camrose at age thirteen to live with her sister Betty and family after the death of her mother. Anna married Sigurd in 1952. They lived their entire married lives in the Camrose area where Anna spent many years working with seniors in Rosehaven and Stoney Creek Lodge. In her later years she was a fixture at the local Farmer's Market in the winter selling knitted sweaters and dolls and was known as the "Lefsa Lady". Funeral Services were held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00pm., from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. A private inurnment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to a charity of your choice.
