Tove Kingshott of Fort Saskatchewan, formerly of Sherwood Park, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Tove was born in Oslo, Norway on July 30, 1939. She immigrated to Canada when she was 14 years old. Tove married Gerald 'Buck' Kingshott on December 8, 1956. They had four children; Steve Fredrick, June Ellen, Keith William, and Teena Marie. Mom's main focus in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were always a highlight, a time that she cherished more than anything and a lasting memory for every family member. Mom took great pride in her friends and community. Her commitment to helping others was next to none. When she involved herself in anything she put her whole heart and soul into it. Caring and compassionate, hardworking and dependable, mom touched many people in her life. Left to cherish and love forever are her children Steve Kingshott, June Kingshott-Soylemez(Mehmet) of Edmonton, Keith Kingshott of Edmonton and Teena Kingshott-Knight of Edmonton; eight grandchildren Nina, Candace, Nick, Tamehra, Kyle, Kane, Kristina and Kelly; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister Rigmor (Ken) Short of B.C.; as well as numerous family in Norway. Tove was predeceased by her husband Gerald "Buck" Kingshott; one son-in-law Clark Knight; her parents Bjorn "Fred" and Ruth Wibe; and brother Bjorn Wibe. A celebration luncheon was held from the Cooking Lake Community Hall 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Palliative Care Unit Grey Nuns Hospital Volunteers, or to Cooking Lake Chapter I.O.D.E.
