Leo Joseph St. Louis

(December 8, 1935 - September 6, 2019)

 

Leo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2019 after a battle with cancer at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose at the age of 83 years. 


Leo’s first marriage made him a proud father of four children Barbara, Wayne, Marvin, and Marney. Leo and Annemarie married in 1987 and settled in Camrose for the next 32 years becoming a beloved figure of Annemarie’s two daughters Sherry and Roxana. He always strived to accommodate and make everyone feel comfortable in life and death. He will always be a precious memory to anyone lucky enough to have had him in their life. 

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Annemarie; children Barbara (Rick) Sparks of Slave Lake, Wayne of Victoria, BC, Marvin (Shauna) of Bashaw, Marney (Jeff) Smithies of Vancouver, BC; step-children Sherry Ewasiuk of Ardrossan, and Roxana Hecht of Leduc; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings Suzanne (Jack) Cudmore of Barrhead, and Dennis of Barrhead.

 

Leo was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. 

 

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019 from the Camrose United Church (4829 - 50 Street Camrose) with Rev. John Helps officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.


If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Leo's memory may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, or to the Diabetes Association.
