Isabell Mary Schneider

(July 11, 1937 - November 25, 2018)

Isabell Mary Schneider of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Rosalind, Alberta passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the age of 81 years.

Isabell was born to Richard and Mary Feth of Camrose on July 11, 1937, a little sister for brothers Joe and Adam. Isabell was raised in Camrose where she attended school, where she met her best friend Jeanette Schandl. Over the years and right up until Isabell’s passing, they stayed close friends, sharing the good times and the bad!! Isabell enjoyed spending time with Jeanette and we do know that the two were known to create a bit of mischief, all in good fun of course!! During her growing years, Isabell’s love of music and some cinema led her to work at the theatre and she really enjoyed this job.
Isabell married the love of her life Ken Schneider on July 11, 1956 and moved to the Rosalind area where they spent many years, right up until they sold the farm. Through all those years on the farm, Isabell was a constant support for Ken as he provided for the family and as they raised their eight children. Isabell was a person who radiated happiness and love, always smiling and making things better. Isabell always loved gardening, she always had big gardens and taught her children (and grandchildren) how to garden as well. A big part of Isabell’s gardening passion was in growing flowers. She took pride in her ability to grow a wide variety of flowers in several flower beds on the farm and in Camrose when they moved in off the farm.
Isabell was always very involved with the local Catholic Church and the CWL and she was always appreciated for her willingness to take part in whatever needed to be done. She was also involved in the community, always willing to assist in any capacity. Once all the children were finished school, Isabell wanted to work outside the home. So true to her nature she wanted to be around children and she took a janitor position at the Rosalind School where she loved interacting with them.
After selling the farm, Isabell was thrilled to be able to move back into Camrose and she added quilting to her talents. She spent many hours making beautiful handcrafted items for many to enjoy, especially for her family to remember her by. Isabell’s family was her main passion and after her children grew, she found a new passion and that was the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she would do anything for!! Once back in Camrose, Isabell’s love of assisting children led her to the Augustana campus where she worked in the kitchen and really enjoyed interacting with the students.
Isabell was a very kind, generous, fun loving, and compassionate person. She was loved by everyone she met and she always had something nice to say to everyone. She was loved greatly by her family and will be missed greatly by family and friends alike!!
Left to cherish her memory are her children Ron (Laura), Carol (Rod) Church, Deanna (Brian) Wilson, Mark (Lori), Brad (Val), Charlene (Ken) Jarrell, Scott (Kathy), and Anita (Bill) Heisler; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; brother Adam (Louise) Feth; and she is also survived by Jeanette Schandl.
Isabell was predeceased by her husband Ken; parents Richard and Mary Feth; grandson Thomas Schneider; great-grandson Sam Amstutz; brother Joe; and sister-in-law Anita Feth.
