Marlene Ione Pearson

(October 8, 1944 - November 4, 2018)

Marlene Ione Pearson of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 74 years.

Marlene Ione Pearson (Miller) was the first-born to Robert and Irene Miller.  She was born in Chauvin, Alberta on October 8th, 1944.  Marlene lived in Chauvin for the first ten years of her life then the family moved a few miles down the road to Wainwright, Alberta.
Marlene was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church where the family attended regular Sunday Services.  Throughout her life Marlene was a regular participant in church services and in her later years in she became a member of the Camrose United Church.
Marlene loved her family tremendously and had a close relationship with her grandchildren. This has been an exciting year for all of them.  In April her granddaughter Marissa was married.  This was the first wedding out of her five grandchildren.  She was honored to be asked to sing at her wedding. In September her grandson PJ phoned her to share some exciting news.  He had proposed to his girlfriend Chelsea and they were getting married next year!! In October Marlene received another phone call and this time it was from her granddaughter Cassidy sharing her news that in May she was going to make her a great-grandma for the first time.  Marlene was looking forward to these big events and although will not be here in person will be there in spirit to celebrate.  Marlene was very proud of her granddaughter Jessica for entering the path of her chosen career of engineering. Marlene was always at peace when she was away as she knew that their home was in the capable hands of her grandson Brad.  She never had to worry about anything because she knew that Brad would look after it!
Marlene was a planner and loved to share her life with family and friends.  She loved to visit, and you always knew that she would spend a minute or two with you even if she was in a hurry.  Marlene firmly believed in living life to the fullest and she had commented to several people that the last two weeks were full of new and exciting experiences for her.  It was the best last two weeks of her life.

Marlene is survived by her husband Lorne Pearson; daughter Lorna (Ron) Pearson-Hoofd; son Rob (Connie) Pearson; grandchildren Jessica Pearson and Brad Pearson, P.J.
