Joseph Lawrence Sieben

(January 28, 1945 - October 13, 2018)

Joseph Lawrence Sieben of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Cosine Sk. and Provost, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 73 years.

Joseph Lawrence Sieben was born to John and Mary Sieben on January 28th, 1945 in Macklin, Saskatchewan. He spent his first three years in Cosine, Saskatchewan before relocating to Provost, Alberta with his parents and eight siblings. He quickly became a young man and found the woman of his dreams, Dianne Katherine Keller, whom he married on July 28th, 1965. They started their family almost immediately, giving life to two boys; Grant on October 21st, 1966 and Todd on August 14th, 1970. Joe was a hardworking young man, started pulling wrenches at a very early age and earned his automotive mechanic journeyman certificate on November 5th, 1969. Although Joseph and Dianne loved their lives in Provost, they moved to Camrose where Joseph happily spent the last twenty-three years. 
Joseph was an early riser who loved his garage and his yard. A man with many talents, he thrived at whatever challenge he was faced with. He was a selfless person who gave openly and graciously whenever there was someone hurting, or in need. He was the biggest fan during all the sporting events he so willingly attended and missed very few road trips to the various sporting venues. More importantly, he was always his grandchildren’s biggest advocate. 
Joseph left this world so suddenly. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Grant and his three children Michael (Alexis), Emily, and Hannah; his son Todd and his two children Kyle and Chad; his sisters Loretta and Marie; and his brothers John and Danny. He will be welcomed into heaven by Dianne, his wife of 48 years; his parents, Mary and John; and his siblings Dorothy, Salomon, Josie, and Catherine. 
Joseph will always be loved and will be missed by so many. Besides cars and sports, family and friends were his greatest passion, and he was very fortunate to have so many.

A Funeral Mass was held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 from the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 5010 48a Ave Camrose with Father Larry Pederson officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery.
