Obituary of Ellis "Brent" Storvik

Brent Storvik of Camrose passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the age of 58 years. Brent was born in Camrose, Alberta on July 15, 1955 to Wilfred and Linda Storvik. His brother Cameron was born in May of 1958 and the brothers had an unbreakable bond and love for one another. Brent stayed in Camrose throughout his life and had many life-long friendships. Brent had a deep love of family, loved music and was a very talented harmonica player. He had an appreciation for a good prank pulled, an awesome sense of humor and loved to treat visitors to his amazing corn fritters! He had a great love of the outdoors - camping, biking, hiking, canoeing, geo-cashing and gathering around the backyard fire pit was the perfect evening. Brent worked for CP Rail, and was on the survey crew for the City of Camrose for many years. He also took pride in his bicycle repair work throughout the years. In 2008 he began his career as a coating inspector and in January 2012 earned his Level 1 Coating Inspector Certificate. Brent married June Whitefish in 1980 and together they had two daughters Amber and Larissa. Brent and June were blessed with a marriage of love and friendship until June's passing in 1998. Throughout the following years he found comfort and companionship with his friends and family and in the fall of 2004 his relationship with Lori began. They were married on August 29th, 2008 and Brent's family grew. He was a caring, loving grandpa to Zaphia, Ahnika and Corvin. Brent was predeceased by his father and mother and will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lori; daughters Amber (Peter) and Larissa (Craig); stepchildren Erin (Jason), Calen and Ryan; brother Cam (Sue); mother-in-law Darleen Smith; and all of his extended family and friends. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Messiah Lutheran Church (4810 50 Street, Camrose) with Pastor David Eriksson officiating.
