Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ed was born November 8, 1928 to parents John and Amelia Noullett north of Bawlf. Ed was the second youngest of nine children. Ed passed away October 2, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 85 years. Ed attended school at Oak Park. At an early age he began working on the home farm and for surrounding farmers. He then worked on the rigs until finding employment at the steel plant in Camrose. Ed remained at the steel plant until his retirement. Ed enjoyed sports especially watching curling and his favorite baseball team, the Blue Jays. His presence will be missed by family and friends. Ed loved to dance and was disappointed when knee surgery took him off the floor. Ed enjoyed a good game of crib with anyone who was willing to take him on. This included nieces, nephews, and neighborhood kids. Ed and May liked to camp, fish, and took pride in their abundant garden. Nothing pleased Uncle Ed more than his annual garage sale. Ed had a knack for turning over items at his sales, always making a few dollars. Ha Ha. Ed was committed to his Catholic faith being a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Ed always helped out at the Knights of Columbus breakfasts which to him were the best. Ed was a member of AA for 38 years. He took pride in his sobriety and was a mentor to many. Ed made many friendships here that lasted his lifetime. Ed enjoyed large family gatherings where there was always good food and company. We all remember Ed asking the young ones; can you say Kapusta? Ed and May enjoyed company always welcoming family and friends to their home. In 2011 they moved to Sunrise Village, there staff and neighbors were like family. Ed was a devoted partner to May. He was a good uncle to his nieces and nephews. Left to mourn his passing; his lifelong partner May, sisters Isabelle Lang, Louise (Gunner) Carlson, nieces, nephews, extended family, cousins, and his many friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents John and Amelia, sister Margaret, brothers Joe (Gladys), Jerry (Jean), Anton (Amanda), John, and Leo, as well as brothers-in-law Leander and Cyril. His presence will be missed by family and friends. A Funeral Mass was celebrated 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Inurnment to take place in the Camrose Cemetery at a later date. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to St. Mary's Hospital, S.T.A.R.S., or to the charity of one's choice.
