Edward Patrick Winczura, beloved brother, uncle, great uncle and great great uncle, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at home on the farm near Round Hill, Alberta. Ed was born on the farm near Round Hill, Alberta on March 17, 1926 to Woijech and Victoria Winczura. He lived and worked on the farm throughout his entire life. Farming was Ed's passion, raising cattle and growing crops - totally enjoying the country life. Although Ed never married he came from a large family and enjoyed the social life associated with numerous family and community gatherings. Ed enjoyed travel and adventure whether it was to far away places such as Poland or a drive around the country to check on his crops. Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters, Anne Willisko of Camrose, Helen Hemmingson of Wetaskiwin, and Martha Winczura of Round Hill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents Woijech and Victoria, and his four brothers, Frank, Albert, Adam and Barney. Prayer Services were held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 7pm., from The Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 1pm., from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Camrose with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Interment followed in St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Cemetery Round Hill. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of your choice.
