Mr. Douglas Hicox of Camrose, formerly of Ft. McMurray passed away on Friday Sept 20, 2013 at the age of 77 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Gayle; one son Randy; three grandchildren Vanessa (Lance), Chris (Sam), and Stacey; four great-grandchildren Haley, Isabelle, Ava, and Kenzey; brother Allan (Marie) of Wainwright; sisters Phyllis (Foster) Barton of Wetaskiwin, Lorna Albers of Bashaw; step-sisters Eddie (Al) Walker of Athabasca, and Marge; step-brother Jim (Julie) McFarland of Castor; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Doug was predeceased by his sons Douglas Michael Jr., and Stacey Allan; mother Margaret; Father Cecil Hicox; step-father Harvey McFarland; and step-sister Marge Mitchel.
A funeral service was held on Sunday September 29, 2013 at 2:00pm from the Burgar Memorial Chapel.
Inurnment to be held at a later date at the Hardisty Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Douglas are greatly appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the charity of one's choice.
