Wallace "Wally" Schiele of Camrose passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the age of 68 years. Wallace was born to William and Olava Schiele at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose, Alberta on January 27, 1945. He was married to Donna Brooks on November 4, 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Camrose, Alberta. After he and Donna were married, they resided at the old Schiele family farm near Meeting Creek, Alberta. A short time later they moved to Camrose, Alberta where they resided until mid-1996. They then moved to Edmonton, Alberta where they stayed until moving to Elkford, BC (and later to Sparwood, BC) in the late fall of 2009. In March 2011, Donna fell ill with ovarian cancer. At this point, he and Donna returned to Alberta due to Donna's health concerns and for her treatment. Wallace and Donna moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta in the summer of 2011. On June 26, 2012, Donna passed away at the Wetaskiwin Hospital. Wallace continued to reside at the couple's apartment in Wetaskiwin until late June 2013. He then moved to Bashaw Meadows, Bashaw, Alberta where he resided until the time of his passing. Wallace passed away in St. Mary's Hospital on the afternoon of September 10, 2013. Wallace was an excellent salesman, collector of precious metals, and loved watching Oilers hockey and curling on TV. He was also very interested in End Times events as laid out in the Scriptures. He spent a great deal of time studying The Bible and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. It was always his joy and pleasure to spend time with his three grandchildren, Brady, Elijah, and Annaliese. He was known as "Papa" by all three grandchildren. Wallace was predeceased by his wife Donna (2012); parents William (1991) and Olava (1994); his father-in-law Floyd (1975); mother-in-law Emma (1989); sister Sylvia Wold (2011); brother David (2013); brother-in-law Lawrence (2010); and niece Crystal Schiele (1998).
