Ione Marie Lansing of Daysland passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at the age of 93 years.
Ione Marie Lansing was born on October 19, 1919 to Leland and Agnes Twichell in the Spring Lake District.
On April 3, 1945 she married Robert Lansing of Spring Lake and together they raised four children, Janet (Bernard) Thomas of Buck Lake, Alberta, Mervin (Trudy) Lansing of Daysland, Howard Lansing of Daysland and Morris (Judy) Lansing of Vancouver B.C..
Ione spent her whole life in the Daysland and Spring Lake area, raising her family and contributing to the community.
Ione is survived by her children; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert; and three brothers Elmer, Art and Hubert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providence Place, Daysland Memorial Arena, or to the Daysland Hospital Foundation.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 from Our Lady of the Prairies Roman Catholic Church Daysland, with Rev. Leon Kler as celebrant. Interment has taken place in the Daysland Cemetery.
