Odd Telmer Ness of Lougheed Alberta passed away on Saturday August 24, 2013 at age 85 in the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, Edmonton. He goes to join family members who predeceased him: parents Thea and Ole Ness; sister Ingrid Finnemore; nephew Mark Solbrekken; and grand-nephew Dustin Esovoloff. He is survived by his sister Rube (Martin) Solbrekken; nieces Randi (Michael) Lee, Joy (Peter) Esovoloff, Christine (Lorne) Scarlett, and Lorraine (Gary) Edwards; grand-nephews Matthew (Crystal) Lee, Harrison Lee, and Brody Esovoloff.
Odd farmed his parents homestead all his life and did so as a wise steward of the land who appreciated nature. Family, neighbors and friends looked to him for help and advice. Sincere thanks to the staff at the Mazankowski Institute for their care and kindness, as well as all who provided prayers and support.
A celebration of Odd's life was held Friday, August 30, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Lougheed Community Hall, Lougheed, Alberta. Interment has taken place at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lougheed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Trinity Lutheran Church Lougheed.
