Jim had an older sister Irene, younger brother Hugh and younger sister Lorraine. He grew up doing chores on the farm for the family and helping the other farmers in the area. Jim left home at 18 and arrived in Brooks, Alberta. He met and married Eilleen and had three children from that union. Terry (Charlene) of Wainwright, Kevin of Botha and Debbie of British Columbia. Jim moved to Camrose where he worked for AMHC and then The Bethany Group as a maintenance supervisor in senior housing for 22 years. Jim met and married Mary and had one child from that union, Constance and step-daughter Cristina. He worked for farmers around the area during seeding and harvest season. He enjoyed working on the farms and made many good friends. He knew a lot of people in Camrose and surrounding areas. Jim enjoyed camping and fishing but especially loved his Toronto Maple Leafs.
