Obituary of Kathleen Phillips

Kathleen Phillips of Camrose passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the age of 94 years. Kathleen was born to Emil and Minnie Ramstad on May 19, 1919 along with her twin sister Evelyn. Kathleen grew up in the Ferry Point area. Kathleen married Roy Phillips on October 26, 1938. In 1946 Roy started building a new house which they moved into in 1947. Kathleen resided here with Roy until his passing in February 2004 and on her own until March 2009 when she moved into Bethany Meadows. Kathleen is survived by her son Douglas (Judy); daughter Donna (Kevin) Currie; daughter-in-law Ruth Phillips; nine grandchildren Crystal (Lee), Todd (Sarah), Trent (Kari), Kari (Tim), Kimberly, Kelly (Phil), Christine, Erin (Chad), and Stacy (Shawn); and fifteen great-grandchildren Kaden, Jace, Jenna-Lee, Lauren, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Kelby, Lyndi, Lia, Ethan, Nolan, Hannah, Kara, Evan and Ember. Kathleen is also survived by her half-sister Ruth Grue. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Roy; sons Clifford and Daryl; grandson Steven; great-grandson Logan; and twin sister Evelyn. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
