Obituary of Patricia "Laurie" Flynn

It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Laurie Flynn after a yearlong bout with cancer Friday, June 14, 2013 at the age of 55 years. Laurie will be greatly missed, forever remembered and always loved by her daughter Vanesa; brothers Vince (Anne) and Mark (Jill); and nieces Lindsay and Michelle. She is also survived by her aunts Dellas Raessler, Pauline Stevens and Doreen Deardoff; and numerous cousins and friends. Laurie was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Ella. Laurie was born on March 24, 1958 in Red Deer, Alberta. From there she lived in Wetaskiwin, Brazeau Dam, Ferintosh, New Norway, and in 1975 moved to Edmonton calling this home. Laurie worked at numerour jobs, operated small businesses, and most recently worked as a purchaser for Global Heat Transfer. She enjoyed skiing in the winter, camping in the summer, and traveling to different destinations. Most of all, Laurie enjoyed time spent with family and friends. A Funeral Service was held 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chelsy Bouwman officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
