Obituary of Lila Lohr

Lila was the second daughter of Frank and Alma Batke born and raised in the Rosalind - Camrose area on August 9, 1924. She passed away on May 27, 2013 at the Louise Jensen Care Centre Camrose. Lila met and married Marvin Lohr and to this union twelve children were born. Marvin and Lila both enjoyed time with their family and especially their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In their later years many weeks were spent fishing and travelling to the States. Mom enjoyed her garden and visiting so many friends and neighbors. After Dad passed away, she moved to the Village of Rosalind again, and enjoyed her neighbors and ever growing family. Left to cherish her memory are her children Marion (Don) Clark, Linda (Don) Sheets, Stan (Sharon), Randy (Mona), Ken (Lura), Rod (Val), Roger, Gord (Kathy), Deb (Don) Doherty, Judy (Lorne) Campbell, Brad (Lucy); 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren. Lila was predeceased by her husband Marvin; son Ron; one brother Everet; one sister Irene; grandsons Ricky and Blaine; and granddaughter Colleen. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Melville Cemetery.
