Kenneth Banack of Camrose passed away Sunday May 19, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Ken was born on September 8, 1924, the second son of the late Tom and Agnes Banack. Ken had three brothers Ludick, Lawrence and Dennis, and two sisters Irene and Bernice. Ken married Marie Delowski in Round Hill, Alberta on July 20, 1947. They raised four children Paulette (Gus) Forget of Medicine Hat, Doug Banack of Camrose, Dale Banack of St. Albert and Darren (Charlene) Banack of Two Hills. He had eleven wonderful grandchildren Mark (Eva), Maria (Barry), Simone (Paul), Andrea (Edward), Michelle, Jody, Matthew (Jennifer), Carla (Kelly), Jason, Brandy, and Chantelle; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his wife Marie; parents Tom and Agnes; one brother Ludick; and his grandchild Mark. Ken had many talents. He enjoyed camping, fishing, crafts, puzzles, glass cutting, clock making and he was passionate about keeping his property immaculately landscaped. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. ~~~ He will be loved and missed by all. A Prayer Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 from Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
