Florence Soch of Camrose, formerly of Gwynne, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the age of 85 years.
Florence was born December 8, 1927 on the farm north of Gwynne, Alberta, during a blizzard. She was the second daughter of Olof and Freda Rasmuson. She married Arthur Soch on November 25, 1953. Family was the most important part of her life. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and their accomplishments. She enjoyed many activities in life including music, dancing, curling, coaching softball, barbequing with Art, crib, scrabble and her flowers. She was a very strong and independant woman.
She leaves behind her loving family, Larry (Kathy), Bruce (Sherry), Dennis, Arlene (Dale) Hunter; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister Mable Glaser and numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence was predeceased by her husband Art and her parents Olof and Freda Rasmuson.
Funeral services were held on Monday May 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating.
Interment followed in the Crooked Lake Cemetery north of Gwynne.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one's choice.
