Obituary of Dorsey "Dory" Eloff

Please share a memory of Dorsey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorsey (Dory) John Eloff passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 30, 2013 at the University Hospital. He was only 64. Despite a determined fight against cancer, he passed away far too soon. Dory was born on August 12, 1948 in Drumheller, Alberta. His father, also named Dorsey was a Bulgarian immigrant and a miner by trade. His mom Dolly, was always near and dear to Dory's heart. Dory was the youngest of three children and grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Life's journey took him to Calgary then on to Camrose and finally to Spruce Grove. We remember Dory's love of golf, the great outdoors, slow-pitch, billiards, movie-watching and precious time spent with his granddaughters. Dory was predeceased by his parents and his very beloved cat, Angel. He is survived by his loving partner, Urszula of Spruce Grove, two daughters Kelly (Michael) and Michelle (Dale) of Camrose, four beautiful granddaughters, Elise, Olivia, Ava and Presley. Dory is also survived by his brother Ed (Brenda), his sister Grace (Cole), nieces, nephews and a host of friends. We know Dory would be as pleased and grateful, as his family is, that you joined in this celebration of his life. Thank you for your support. A Funeral Service was held 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the Salvation Army.
