Obituary of Timothy "Tim" Burrell

It's with great sadness, that the family of Tim Burrell announce his sudden passing on April 21, 2013, at the age of 55 years. Tim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bev; two children Sarah (Jay) Schultz and Ben (Jess) Burrell; two grandsons Braden and Ethan Schultz; one granddaughter Abigail Burrell; his mother and father Bob and Janet Burrell; sister Trudy Burrell; brother Trent Burrell (Barb Walker); his mother-in-law Kathleen Throndson; brother-in-law Steve Throndson; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many relatives and friends. Tim was predeceased by his father-in-law Wilbur Throndson in 1995. Tim was born in Edmonton, Alberta on December 11, 1957, the eldest child of Bob and Janet Burrell. After completing high school, Tim went on to work for Canada Safeway for 35 years, until he retired last summer. He married Bev Throndson on December 9, 1978 and they went on to have two wonderful children Sarah and Ben. Tim was a generous and devoted father and husband to his family. Family always came before his own wants or needs. Many remember Tim as an extremely active member of the Beaumont sporting community, where he coached soccer for many, many years, as well as hockey. Tim loved hockey and the Edmonton Oilers. He also enjoyed golf and travelling to Mexico and Las Vegas. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m at the Messiah Lutheran Church (4810 50 Street, Camrose) with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's memory can be made to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (11230 - 110 Street Edmonton, AB T5G 3H7).
