Obituary of Donna Paulgaard

Donna Norma Paulgaard passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Donna was born November 6, 1942 to Norman and Pearl Brown in Camrose. Donna married Robert on July 29, 1962. They had two children, Darren and Shelley. In 1975 they decided to get into real estate, and they moved their family and business into Camrose. Donna worked for Solar Realty then later moved to work for the Feeders Association for many years. Then they moved to Stettler where they ran a boarding house. This is where she spent most of her years. She treated her boarders like children, and was like a mother to them. Donna loved to watch the birds, grow flowers and pick weeds. Donna broke her hip in June 2012. This is when she decided with her family to move to Hardisty Parkland Manor, so she could have the comfort of her family near her. Donna found comfort in her family and friends. She fell ill and was diagnosed with Leukemia. Donna Norma Paulgaard passed away April 16, 2013 in the Hardisty Health Centre. She found her peace. She leaves behind two children Darren Paulgaard (Jocelyn Sebios) and Shelley (Dale) Drever; best friend Randy Feher; four grandchildren Alicia (Blair) Mackie, Taryn (Mike) Ference, Christy Drever (Brett Overman) and Jordie Drever; great-grandchildren Lincoln, Alex, Laine, Will and Anna; brother-in-law Peter (Myrna) Prymo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her husband Robert in September 2005; father Norman Brown in 1977; her mother Pearl Brown in 1992; and sister Louise Prymo in 1998. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Interment has taken place in the Daysland Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to Hardisty Health Centre Palliative Care Room, or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
