Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Cullen

Joseph Cullen of Camrose, formerly of New Brunswick passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of 73 years. Emery was born May 25, 1939 to Peter and Frances Cullen who farmed in Johnville, New Brunswick. Emery moved to Alberta from New Brunswick in the year 2003. He joined the army in 1957. While in the army he traveled all over the world and experienced life to the fullest. Emery left his military career in 1964. He worked at odd jobs, and still had the traveling bug in him so he never stayed in one place too long. He made a vast number of friends everywhere he went. He cherished every one of them. Emery will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, and his endless love for his family. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Frances Cullen; and one brother Patrick. He is survived by six brothers; four sisters; one son Peter (Tammy); grandsons Andrew and Chris and granddaughter Natasha; one daughter Lisa (Dave); granddaughters Amanda, Ashley and Katrina and grandson Cole; and three great-grandchildren Laura, Trinity and Adam. He was loved worldwide. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass was held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Pederson officiating. Cremation has taken place Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute.
