Obituary of Fouchane Liang

Please share a memory of Fouchane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Fouchane Liang was born on May 7, 1934 in Xieng Khouang, Laos and passed away on March 17, 2013 at the age of 78. He was a simple, easy-going man who did not like to ask for anything or trouble anyone for help. However, he was a most caring, considerate, and humble man. He married Toung Moy Kham on September 9, 1957. He was a businessman selling clothing, which was made by his wife at home, to people of neighboring villages in order to support his family. Sometime he would be gone for days at a time to earn a living. With the help of Camrose United Church, he made the ultimate decision to bring his whole family to Canada and settled in Camrose in 1980. He made Camrose his home since then. He leaves behind his wife Moy (at age of 78); seven hard-working children Siak Seng, Susan (Saofanh), Michael (Meng), Bruce, Walter, Wayne(Veng), and Owen; and several wonderful grandchildren Steven, Amanda, Krystal, Brandon, Tyler, and Nathan. After many years of hard work in Canada, he retired and took up gardening as a hobby. He loved being outside and enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables. Sometimes he worked in his garden from morning to night because that was his passion. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 12:00 noon, from the Burgar Memorial Chapel (4817 51 Avenue, Camrose, AB) with Lian Ru officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Liang Family and will be distributed to the charity of their choice.
