Obituary of Olga Nahirniak

Olga Julia Nahirniak of Camrose, formerly of Round Hill District passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the age of 90 years. Olga was born on October 29, 1922 in Round Hill, Alberta to Joseph and Barbara Scabar. Olga married Walter Nahirniak on November 13, 1941. They were able to celebrate 64 years of married life together. They were blessed with three children, Barbara, Douglas, and Mary Ellen. Olga and Walter lived on the farm in the Round Hill District until Walter's passing. After Walter passed away, Olga moved to the Louise Jensen Care Centre where she lived until her passing. Olga leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Barbara Hersberger of Edmonton, Mary Ellen of Round Hill; grandchildren Lyle (Mary), Nicole (Rob) and Kevin; great grandchildren Brooklynn, Isabella, Aiden and Charlie, they were the light of her life. Olga was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Barbara Scabar, her husband Walter and son Douglas; her brothers Louis, Mike, John, Steve, Ray and Art; two sisters Helen and Marie. A Divine Liturgy was held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church Round Hill with Rev. Slavko Dumec officiating. Inurnment has taken place in Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one's choice.
