Obituary of Margaret "Jean" Bouck

Margaret Jean Bouck passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Sunrise Village in Camrose at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her sons Howard (Phyllis) and Ron (Leanne), seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alan, three brothers and three sisters. Jean was born in Provost, Alberta on November 17, 1923 to J. Wesley and Margaret Hughes. She grew up in the Wainwright area, married Alan Bouck in 1951 and had 2 boys, Howard in 1952 and Ron in 1958. The family moved to Camrose in 1955. They eventually bought a farm in 1963 where they resided until 2007 when they moved into a condo in Camrose. Alan and Jean moved to Rosealta Lodge and finally to Sunrise Village. Jean was a farm wife and mother but also was a bookkeeper for the Church of God and The Canadian Board of Missions. She held this job for 38 years. Jean loved to cook and bake. Family, friends and neighbors were often the lucky recipients of her baked goods. She was an avid sports fan and in later years she rarely missed her grandchildren's sporting events. Jean was a lover of animals and they had the best fed animals around. Jean was very family orientated as well as a devout Christian all her life. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from Century Meadows Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Morris and Pastor Ed Lehman officiating. A private graveside service was held at the Century Meadows Baptist Church Cemetery. If family and friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to World Vison, The Leprosy Mission Canada, or to a charity of your choice.
