Obituary of Margarite "Peggy" Larson

Peggy Larson of Camrose passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Peggy was born July 10, 1931. She passed away in Camrose on December 10, 2012 at the age of 81 years. She graduated from the Misercordia School of Nursing in 1953. She nursed in Killam, Daysland and Camrose. A total of 41 years, she was a good nurse and loved every day. People knew her for her laugh at the Smith Clinic. On July 21, 1976, Peg married Victor Larson. They enjoyed pony chariot and chuckwagon races, lots of travelling and many fun times with family and friends. Peggy loved rodeos, wagon races, travelling, flower gardens, cards (rummy), little kids, family, friends, laughing, being teased, and food. No family member ever got away without a big hug and kisses from Peggy, she was very affectionate and enjoyed one on one visits. She also had a close friend, Harvey that was dear to her heart. In her later years Peg's health let her down. She was happy to be in Deer Meadows where her sister Phyllis, the staff and neighbors would be there for her. Peggy will be sadly missed by two brothers Roger Weller of Daysland, Ed Weller of Fort Saskatchewan; three sisters Phyllis Bowie of Camrose, Dyann Niehaus (Roger) of West Bank, B.C., Judy Anonson (Gary Schaupmeyer) of Edmonton; many nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Victor; her parents Leo and Viola Weller; one brother-in-law Lyle Bowie; two sisters-in-law Doreen Weller and Dorothy Weller; two nephews David Weller and Bobby Bowie. A Mass of the Resurrection was held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Cremation to follow the service. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to St. Francis Xavier Church Building Fund or the charity of one's choice.
