Jessie Jeanuette West, of Daysland passed away Tuesday October 30, 2012 at the age of 70 years. Jessie Jeanuette West was born on September 29, 1942 to parents Hazel and Norman Buckle at Camrose, Alberta. Jessie grew up along the banks of Spruce Coulee near Donalda, Alberta. She married William Dorn West on November 14, 1959. During their marriage they lived in Rosalind, Elk Point, Holden, New Norway and Daysland where she worked as a devoted homemaker, mother, and farm wife. She worked hard, always trying to ensure her family had more than what she had. Jessie enjoyed a variety of activities. She loved walks in the country, gardening, dancing, fishing, camping, and especially spoiling her grandkids. She is lovingly remembered by her family for her unique sense of humour, her love of George Jones and Elvis Presley, and building huge fires and cranking the music while camping. Jessie is survived by her husband Dorn, her brother David of Viking, her children Lonny (Jeff) of Edmonton, Marty and Micheal (Sheila) of Camrose, Kyle of Daysland, Lindsay (Mary) of Calgary, and her grandchildren Tristan, Keanan and Kaitlyn. She was predeceased by her parents and one infant brother Norman. A Funeral Service was held 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 3, 2012 from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Pastor Choi officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one's choice.
