Obituary of Robert Waldron

On October 19, 2012, Robert (Bob) Waldron of Daysland, Alberta passed away suddenly at home at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife, Lauretta of 26 years; son Bruce (Dolene) Waldron, daughter Christina Curcio; stepchildren Annette (Rodney) Koehli, Linda Bednarz, Valerie (Kenny) Wolbeck, Wanda (David) Hihn, Elizabeth (Darcy) Walker, Gloria Bednarz (Guenter), Jeffrey (Tanya) Bednarz. Also left to mourn his passing are twenty-three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers John (Trish) Waldron, Ken (Anne) Waldron, and sister-in-law Betty Waldron. Bob was predeceased by his son Ken and brother Jim. Bob's extensive interests in life took him on many journeys which lead him to bountiful treasures, new-found friendships and a knowledge he loved to share. Upon his return home, he was always greeted by his two most loyal companions, "Bear" and "Maggie". Bob will be fondly remembered by his family for his story-telling skills, as a purveyor of spoon rings, his hot-shot delivery service, his rock and fossil hobby, and his passion of caring for his avian friends, (As Bob would say, "If you don't know what that means, go and look it up in the dictionary"). In lieu if flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 2:00pm., from The Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Grambo officiating. Cremation took place following the service. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accpeted to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
