Please share a memory of Tyler to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tyler David Hornshaw, 16, of Bawlf, passed away at the Stollery Children's Hospital on October 17th, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born May 9th, 1996 in Rimbey, Alberta, the son of Sueann Dereniuk and Ross Hornshaw. He lived and went to school in Rimbey for most of his young life, where he was an honors student and enjoyed playing hockey for the Rimbey Renegades. He recently moved to Bawlf and was attending Grade 11 at Bawlf High School. Tyler was always a quiet person, but when he did say something we all listened as his words were meaningful. He had many good friends and enjoyed experiencing new things. Some of his favorite things included quiet time, movies, custom trucks and cars, playing Xbox, chilling and chatting with friends, school, hockey, golf and impressing the ladies. He was always quick to lend a helping hand and had proved himself to be a very hard worker. He excelled at everything he put his mind to. He was becoming a young man that everyone respected. Tyler will forever be remembered in our hearts. "Our lives will forever be a song dedicated to you." Tyler will be lovingly remembered by his mother Sueann Dereniuk (Calvin Guldbrandsen); father Ross (Angie) Hornshaw; sister Katlynn Hornshaw; step-siblings Falon, Jolene, Connor, Blake, Robin, Heather, and Deryk; uncle Dean; aunt Jamie; uncle Rodney; aunt Carrie; uncle Cal; cousins Stephanie, Kimberly and Nethan; grama Grace; grama Irene; and grama Betty and grampa Carl. Tyler was predeceased by his great-grama Alda; grampa Dave; and grampa Earl. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. from Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Harder officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S. or The Stollery Children's Hospital.
